Diego Castro Blanco, the president of Culiacán Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CANACO), has announced that the state of Sinaloa has been waiting for the final authorisation by the Mexican Government to finally reopen businesses related to casinos, gyms, bars and nightclubs in the state, and the permission is expected to be released in the late July.
Castro Blanco stressed that when the premises reopen to the public, businesses must strictly comply with all measures related to avoid the spread of the COVID-19. He also highlighted the importance of returning to activities, as tourism is a great part of Sinaloa’s economy, generating income for the region.
The decision to reopen casinos, gyms and clubs was discussed during expressive number of meetings, where different authorities from the government and representatives of CANACO debated the reopening possibilities, COVID-19 measures and economic aspects. According to Castro Blanco, they are only waiting for the final authorisation by the government, and the casino establishments could return to operate by the end of July.
