Chile's EnjoyWin operation ban lifted

Superintendency to carry out inspections for payment option to be removed from site

EnjoyWin.net, the latest social casino and online operator of the company Enjoy, has been on the spotlight of Chilean gaming news lately.

The platform, which launched at the beginning of the month as a coping mechanism for all the closing of land-based casinos in Chile, was deemed unfit for the laws instated from the Superintendence of Casino Games, as Chile has yet to have regulations and laws for online casinos.

SCJ tagged the platform as not on par with their requirements. The Superintendency, after an analysis of the online site, informed that the platform as unfit, ordering the immediate closing and ceasing of publicity of EnjoyWin, until further notices were delivered from the entity.

In addition, SCJ required the “contract signed with the company Mercado Pago, which establishes the mode of operation for the purchase of pre-established packages of coins and the forms of payment that would allow the operation through an online cashier, requiring an authorized copy of the same” as it was stated in their website. 

After this decision, SCJ made a public announcement on the 8th of July in which the platform EnjoyWin was announced to be legible for use, and would be able to re-launch. 

The delivered news, which SCJ made after a deep technical analysis, enables the use of the website, as long as the possibility of buying “coins” from the platform, is erased, more so disabling the option of monetary transactions of the website and real money betting. 

The Superintendence asked for the site to remove this option before 48h passed after the news was delivered, and if it was't, expressed that legal action would be taking place. 

Regarding this decision from SCJ, Enjoy mentioned to SBC News "EnjoyWin is a social casino, totally free, without money bets and money prizes as a result of the game" and that they would cooperate with SCJ delivering all the information needed and explaining the process of the site.
