An Executive Order No. 43/2021, which came into effective as of midnight on Tuesday will see Macau allowing foreigners to enter the Special Administrative Region.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, all borders have been closed in Macau except for children or spouses of residents in Macau, students registered in schools or universities there, those doing business in the country and individuals who are deemed to serve a public interest i.e emergency or disease control.
Other requirements include foreigners return to Macau within the visa’s validity period. Macau's tourism notice states that:
On Monday Macau also announced a fresh new economic-stimulus package of $55m directed towards tourism. This is aimed to boost the decline in spending on Macau's tourism industry as well as the casino industry.
