Poland's Century Casinos remain closed through Jan 31

After announcing the temporary closure of its Polish casinos a few weeks ago, Century Casinos Inc. state doors will stay closed through January 31 

The Colorado-based Entertainment company, Century Casinos Inc., have declared that its Polish branch will remain closed through January 31, 2021 and beyond due as the Polish government extends regulation in bid to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. Given the current momentum of COVID-19, it is expected that it will have a grave impact on the company, especially the first half of 2021.

The operator commented on the situation stating:

The Polish casinos would remain closed through January 31, 2021, subject to potential extensions, to comply with extended quarantines issued by the Polish government to contain the spread of COVID-19,

The news comes two weeks after the Polish government had announced another shutdown. Additionally, Century Casino shares reportedly haven't been affected by the extended Poland lockdown; valued 11.28% higher just last week, and is forecasted to become one of the best-performing equities in 2021 so far. 

The company owns 66.6% of Casinos Poland Ltd. who operators its eight gaming venues in Poland. It is reported that the Poland branch accounted for 4% of Century Casinos' adjusted EBITDA in the quarter ending September 30, 2020.
