Skywind makes statement of intent with Swedish entry

Skywind Group is further expanding its reach, entering more and more regulated markets

Over the past 10 months, Skywind Group has acquired more than 5 licenses, including the UK, Malta, Romania, Alderney and Spain. The company is certifying their games in these licensed markets as well as in Sweden and Italy. These licenses and certifications allow operators to use Skywind Group’s content in multiple jurisdictions, especially important for tier 1 companies with a constant need to expand and grow.

The Swedish market is one of largest in Europe, and home to many content providers and operators.

Skywind Group’s strategy is to bring a new type of game to the market, including the release of market-specific content, unique arcade games and branded video slots, like The Last Kingdom that is slated for release later this year.

Skywind Group Europe Managing Director Oren Cohen Shwartz explained their entrance into the Swedish market as a “statement of intent”, saying “the state of regulations is changing and the direct impact that has on revenue streams dictates the operators’ need to expand into new regulated markets.

“Our strategy includes entering as many regulated markets as possible. Players of our partners who are operating in Sweden can now enjoy playing our premium games, which we have produced specifically for Sweden”.

Skywind Group’s expansion into regulated markets does not stop with Sweden. Skywind Group has already stated they intend to enter more regulated markets in the region and have already begun certifying their games for Denmark.
