According to The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), the only casino operator in the country that has been granted permission to accept bets online is Bloomberry’s Solaire Resort & Casino.
City of Dreams Manila and Okada Manila have already filed their applications to accept bets online, however, these are still being studied by PAGCOR’s concerned departments.
A recent report from Bloomberg said the three resorts had received the green light to accept bets online.
PAGCOR revealed that Solaire is about to make a presentation on the processes of online wagering, whereas the respective applications of City of Dreams Manila and Okada still need to undergo evaluation.
The gaming regulator’s proposal to allow land-based casinos to accept bets online has been seen as a way to mitigate losses and refill the state’s exhausted funds caused by the economic impact of Covid-19.
