The Malta Blockchain Summit kicked off in style with a four-day extravaganza to mark its maiden voyage. An elegant private dinner on June 15th gave the weekend a sophisticated start, where a number of Blockchain elites were flown in, making for a star-studded guest list. Amongst them was Olaf Carlson-Wee, a familiar face and industry leader in Silicon Valley.

Infinity by Hugo’s glamorous rooftop pool location set the scene for an exclusive, invite-only iGathering. Guests were treated to an art exhibition and Blockchain Auction, before savouring gourmet barbeque and supping on freshly-made mojitos as they lounged by the pool.
Some of the most renowned iGaming-and-crypto-industry experts, enthusiasts, and investors mingled under the warm afternoon sun as cocktails flowed and business cards exchanged hands – providing just the right balance of priceless business opportunities and premier entertainment.

Sunday rounded off an action-packed weekend with a Crypto Cruise, where a select group of venture capitalists were treated to a relaxing cruise around Malta’s imposing coastline.
The summit was officially launched Monday by the Prime Minister of Malta from the hub of government - Castille. The Prime Minister has been a staunch supporter of the Maltese Blockchain scene, throwing his weight behind a campaign to turn Malta into a blockchain island and pushing for Malta to take the lead in a fast-developing cryptocurrency industry.
