Country manager of Mozzartbet Kenya, Saša Krneta, connected to multimillion money-laundering syndicate, the KRA investigates
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) are looking into the matter to ascertain if Krneta has cheated Kenyan tax payers by not paying his taxes.
The KRA and officers from the Serious Economic Crime and National Intelligence Services have had a series of petitions to post independent officers at the firm’s headquarters to get the adequate facts required.
James Mburu, Director General of KRA (pictured right) said that Krneta is said to collide with foreign directors, one a Zimbabwean and two Serbians.
Furthermore, Weekly Citizen reported that to perfect the art, Krneta boasts of having pocketed the Betting Control and Licensing Board Managing Director Peter Mbugi.
Liti Wambua replaced Mbugi after his employment was terminated recently by the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’'i. Yet, it remains unclear if the cabinet Chairman and Board of Directors have any knowledge of the Mbugi and Krneta saga.
Krneta has been known to “operate secret bank accounts” making payment from Mozzarbet proceeds under the guise of making legitimate payments for various services rendered.
However, sources reveal that Mozzarbet plots to include the board and compromise the local media by making huge payments to prevent negative publicity while carrying out “public relation gimmicks” to feign care for the community.
While the speculations remain on the unprecedented turn of events, Mozzarbet had recently carried out the Mozzarbet Daily Jackpot that made payments of Sh10 million to an unknown man from Nakuru County.
